The best part about Lebron coming is that he has supposedly told the Lakers not to do anything drastic, that he's in it for the long haul. That means we really can wait on Kawhi next summer and keep our young chips. Just hope that Randle can stay somehow. We need him for Draymond.

He's definitely here to stay. We'll just match any offer. Unless he's in the Kawhi trade.....

Yeah what can i say....lakers took two steps forward and one step back. I'm trying to talk myself into liking some aspect of these signings but I just can't. The haters are gonna have a field day.

There's really nothing that can justify these signings when none of them can shoot and none of them play center, our two biggest needs since Randle was renounced for nothing. Were going to be good, but not good enough to win a championship until we have more shooters and a legitimate center. Magic did a good job getting LeBron here but ever since each move has been more and more questionable until the ultimate screw up happened with Randle. Unless we get Kawhi using the cap space from the Randle move then it was pointless and stupid.

At least he could shoot! I guess we’re all in on defenders and vets. We must be keeping that space open for a potential Kawhi move (not likely any time soon).

Yeah or I've heard a rumor that okc would be open to a Melo/Deng swap. There's got to be a reason why they're purposely leaving that cap space available.

Maybe it saves them money this year, but next?

Yeah I have no idea. I've heard Shelburne bring it up. I think it would save them money on their tax bill this year and they would gain an asset (most likely a draft pick) and then they could stretch out Deng this year or the following year, whichever they choose.

Melo to Atlanta and then to Houston. I think Melo's days are coming to an end, so he should be thankful he gets one more shot at a ring on the Rockets, but my prediction is that they will ultimately fail miserably. The loss of Ariza should not be underestimated.

I think the Rockets overachieved last year and just lost Ariza AND Mbah A Moute...both were defensive aces for them and a big part of what allowed their offense to flourish. Add Melo and I see a big step back in the win column (maybe 10 games).

And when the playoffs start, that's where they'll miss Mbah a Moute and Ariza the most.
